From Tindi, a village at 2600m altitude, we started in the morning towards the Darati pass (4640 m) to cross over from Lahaul to the Datuin village in Chamba valley.

Beautiful lush green fields

The OSM map provided shows Tandi-Killar road where the village tindi is opposite to the bridge.
It was a wonderful climb to Chunagarh where we found some shepherds with their livestock. I was feeling so energetic as it looked like western ghats. After 4000 m, the terrain changed from beautiful alpine meadows to scree.

We went to till the pass and came back around the evening. We didn’t cross to the Chamba side as our plan was to explore Pangi first. On our way back, we met some youngsters who were responsible and cleaned while going down. One of them played the flute and it was a bliss listening to it. We camped outside near the momo store.

Crossing to the opposite side to get the bus to Killar

Took bus from tindi village from the Nepal dhaba on the opposite side. The bus started late and was at 11 am. We ate maggi noodles near the main road. On our way the bus had two punctures and we had to shift to another bus. Reached only around 430 pm at killer. In the evening, we met mani and team successfully coming from sach pass.
