The most inspiring quote from Christopher  McCandless ,”The very basic core of man’s  living spirit is his passion for adventure and his thirst to travel. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon.”

Born and brought up in a concrete jungle from south India jampacked with people , vehicles and buildings I wanted to step out of the city and explore the green pastures in India . I simply loved the outdoors, the fresh air , the scent of nature, feeling mentally and physically refreshed after an intense workout.

I started travelling to new places , get to know other cultures and met different people . Travelling makes you more open minded and if it is an adventure it

will surely teach you many lessons . Venturing into the unknown places was overcome by learning about topographic maps and GPS navigation .

Imagine walking through vast expanses of greener, squishing past softly gurgling marshes, climbing over algae infested river boulders, crossing pristine streams that branch out into a spidery web of little falls, dipping your naked toes in cool waters that send shivers down your spine. After all, what greater joy than walking with nature and losing yourself ?

From Chennai,India to Nantes,France,it has been a wonderful journey with never ending adventures. When I can trot on the streets ,when I can take a brisk walk in the park, when there are myriad ways amongst fitness freaks , I chose to step out on trekking and cycling.

You will likely find an increase in confidence level, overall attitude and an open-minded approach to a problem. Being a part of trekking community in India, I learnt to organize various adventure activities and realized improved management skills which the top management schools might fail to teach you.

Exploring new places and discovering valleys are always exciting and these memories last long ! The more you step out for travel , you have more travel stories to tell and share . It means you see the real culture of the country you’re visiting and you learn from your experience. That’s what travel is all about.

Being close to nature, you realize the true power of it and immense knowledge you can derive from it . As nature comes free, I believed that the adventure of discovering it in its pristine form should also be free .This was a driving force for me to quit my computer job and work in a rainforest research station for a year . I learnt how to be simple and to survive under extreme conditions . A friendship forged during a trek is very different from one made at a bar or social gathering. It does not snap easily. They go through sweat and blood to complete the hike. They can’t do it without relying on one another. Friendships made under such circumstances last a lifetime.

Now its time to explore the green city, Nantes by bike . It’s time to organize outdoor activities in this international playground and get connected with many like-minded souls.
